That Place

Written By: Javier Olmedo

Take me to that place
Where your eyes would erase
This poor man's dream
What a selfish plea

The only thing that worked for me
Was havin some kind of anonymity
Or some self-esteem

Let's lose a few
Of our possessions
At least the ones that tie us
To the obsession
Of going, and going and going, and going...
Where does it end, kind friends?

I know what it reminds you of
But you gotta break yourself
Of that attachment man
That attachment, yeah

Yeah, it feels nice sometimes
But I know you gotta know
There's a better path
Or a higher plan

Let's refuse
All of these cheap
Distractions
At least the ones that tie us
To the attraction
Of going, and going, and going, and going...
Where does it end, my friends?

Slight Delight

Written By: Javier Olmedo

Though it's more than I can stand
I won't be standing in the way
But it can't go on
What with all the little problems
That keep draggin on

Took the freeway
Took it straight to your door
Just for a conversation
In a soundproof room
But it wasn't proof enough
To calm the fears that drove you to

And now we can't
Get it off the ground
Because you had
To have it bolted down

Well, I'm sure it wasn't all that fun
To share your coffee table
With a loaded gun
Or to deal with all the plots
And schemes and situations
Though you often have a point
I would like to point towards
Some more that are at large Ignored
You're the one that made it
Two from three at first
So what's one more?

And now we can't
Get it off the ground
Because you had
To have it bolted down

And now we can't
Get it off the ground
Because you had
To have it bolted down
Yeah, to keep it bolted down

Bright Red Flame

Written By: Javier Olmedo

All I ever wanted
Was a bright red flame
A chance to prove
A chance to kill that name

All I ever wanted was a velvet rope
To hang my pride and
Finally come close

At my one chance
At an audience
Just one chance to prove
To these people
There will be hell to pay
When I've paid my dues

There were 4, 5, 6, 7 of them
Dressed to be killed
Like well-fed gentlemen

What was I do?

All I ever wanted was a telescope
Or a slice of just a little hope
All I ever wanted was a length of rope
To hang my pride and
Finally come close

At my one chance
At an audience
Just one chance to prove
To these people
There will be hell to pay
When I've paid my dues

There were 4, 5, 6, 7 of them
Dressed to be killed
Like well-fed gentlemen

What was I to do?
