Not yet, but we sure hope that changes.

From the first time we reworked a Beatles song with our own lyrics and mom approved, we have always loved to write music. We have been mainly influenced by C&W writers. Sometimes, as it is said, a song will come out of us in 5 minutes (My Lord, which was written when God really did have us "down flat on my back" as we lost all that was dear to us) and another took years (The Gift) to complete (the music was one of the first things I wrote when I learned to play guitar, but the concept of a five-part opera from the eyes of a shepherd boy evolved with Nancy's input over time). Dangerous Angel was written from a real-life incident of being physically chased by private eyes everywhere Nancy and I went (we were in even bigger, life-threatening trouble then). We are impressed by so many songwriters from John and Paul to Vince Gill; but for us today, it is people like Ashley Gorley and Karen Rochelle that we admire. Their ability to pen an incredible piece and have such talented artists record their music is fantastic. That is our goal. As for any other part of "our not-so-incredible story," well it really can be found in the music we write, even in the Death of Texas, because they all reflect our life experiences.
