Bio

Discovered in the Portsmouth, Virginia area, Donte “Tay” Griffin and Carlos “Yung Hood” Powell stand as individual powerhouses in the Hip-Hop realm, but together form the dynamic duo known as Now Or Neva. Under the mentorship of Moya Wilson, President and CEO of TemperTantrum Entertainment, both artists were able to convert a simple hobby of rapping into a full-fledged fervor for the art of lyricism. Fused with incredible production from the talented 3-Digital, in-house producer for TemperTantrum Entertainment, their debut album “It’s Now Or Neva,” promises to capture all the elements of Hip-Hop without compromising their own creativity.

With distinctive voices, unique flow, and the unmatched ability to pen concepts and lace them with infectious hooks, Now Or Neva is prepared to deliver and conquer. The commercial club banger, “How You Gon Act, “ proves their ability to creatively express loyalty to the unwritten hustler code. “Block” follows suit showcasing the Duo’s allegiance to the game as well as the streets that paved their way to a musical grind. Whether it’s the slow and sexy “My Way” or the trademark spitfire hood anthem “See Da Kid,” Now Or Neva confirms that they are not one-dimensional. The contagious beat of “Shake that Thang” forces both young and old to move to the rhythm, while the lyrics of “My Way” and “Neva Met Someone” spark a flame for R&B lovers. In spite of their youth, the messages of love and life have a depth that all audiences can relate to. Their project in progress displays their lyrical dexterity and takes listeners on a wild ride throughout the various elements of their character.

Now Or Neva is without question one of Hip-Hop’s fastest rising acts. Armed with intelligence, insight, inspiration and the desire to shake-up the status quo with a sound and fury that is their own, Now or Neva is the face of a movement of young hustlers and grinders.
