Bio
Founded in 2006 by Brooklyn-born keyboardist Jason Lindner, Now Vs Now includes Greek bassist/vocalist Panagiotis Andreou and New Jersey-native Mark Guiliana.
The trio cut their teeth in alternative music venues in New York such as Nublu and they now play regularly to sold-out crowds at Rockwood Music Hall. They have appeared on National Public Radio, who wrote, "Now vs. Now forges into altogether undeveloped musical terrain."
In 2008 Meshell Ndegeocello, with whom Lindner and Guiliana both worked with at the time, offered to produce the band and in 2009 Jason Lindner Gives You Now Vs Now was released (Lindner, already being an established jazz artist, thought it best to use his name for visibility). Mixed by the legendary Bob Power (Q-Tip, Roots, Tribe Called Quest, Ndegeocello, Eryka Badhu), the masterfully-produced album is steeped in Guiliana’s hard grooves, Lindner’s ambient soundscapes, and bassist Andreou’s subby, syncopated bass lines and Balkan Gypsy-style vocal work.
NVN has completed 3 successful European tours (2010, '11, '12), has played NYC's Winter Jazz Fest in 2010 and a few dates around the US since their inception.
They are currently working on their 2nd album.
