SOMETHING TO LOOK AT

Written By: Nona Chritie/Jim Thompson

SOMETHING TO LOOK AT
Thompson/Christie

She walked in the bar – didn’t have to go far
Before everyone was looking at her.
She stopped next to me – and her hand touched my knee
And I forgot where we were.

Then she reached up and took my hat – I said “you’re something to look at”.

I was out on the town, hanging around
My wife was at home with the kids
How guilty I felt, took her hand and I helped
Pop the top off her Miller Lite Beer

I really did feel like a rat, I said, “You’re something to look at”.

CHORUS
“Oh, why did you stop here to pick on me
With those eyes as blue as blue can be?
With boots and a short skirt, now you’re wearing my hat
Ooooooh, You’re something to look at.”

Well, she gave me her number, all I did was mumble
All the guys they were looking at me
Then she walked to the door
Turned and looked once more
The blue in her eyes is all I see
Than she made a move and tossed me my hat,
“Oooo you’re something to look at”.

BRIDGE
I reached in my pocket and got out her number
As I headed on home from the bar
I threw it away, cause I know there’s no way
I’d call her and go that far.

At the door my wife she took off my hat, She said “You’re something to look at”.

CHORUS
I’m so glad that you chose me
Your eyes are so pretty, as blue can be
Your jeans and bare feet, and you put on my hat
Oooooooh darling, You’re something to look at.
