Bio
NSR - a 'kick-ass' western Canadian rock band has been around since 1999. Originally a three piece punk / rock band called 'New School Rock', they played some popular cover tunes and a lot of original music. Eventually Richard invited Brendon, his younger brother, to sit in on the drums.
Immediately they had a chemistry together and kept on rockin. In the meanwhile 'sister' Bridgette was coming into her own as a musician and songwriter.
It was inevitable that the three siblings would join up, with their collective talent. As they were maturing, musically and otherwise, they thought a name change was in order (besides the movie 'The School of Rock' spawning a truckload of similarly named bands). So they shortened the name to NSR. Their cousin and very talented musician, Tyler Lindsay joined the band in 2007.
The 4 talents had come together - let the music begin! NSR is gaining popularity in western Canada and are expanding east, west and south, with a number of new tours planned for the near future. Even though the band is still fairly young, and highly energetic, they have everything an audience expects from entertainers and more!. Some highlights of their experience:
- Opened for The Trews and Social Code - Have played over 350 shows and still counting with expansion constantly to new venues;
- Fans from around the world including: Japan, U.K, New Zealand and Australia;
- Creation, release and promotion of full length CD utilizing well known Greenhouse Studios in Vancouver, B.C., Canada;
- Highly prolific songwriters with over 50 original songs under their belts;
- Repertoire of over 80 cover songs from classic rock to brand new rock hits.
