NTG

N
atalie Nicole Mann was born at the University of Pennsylvania hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Always a lover of music -- even as a young child—Natalie, aka “NTG”, always enjoyed the spotlight and ever found ways to entertain family/friends while enjoying the center of attention.

As a youth, some of NTG’s idols, whose star and fame she aspired to, included: Michael & Janet Jackson, Queen Latifah, Eve, Lil Kim, Mc Lyte, Boyz II Men, Whitney Houston, Marvin Gaye, The Isley brothers, Al Green and an array of many other talented artist/entertainers. As with other artists, NTG’s journey to music began early and with poetry – an outlet of choice to channel her emotions in what she describes as a “real” and positive, yet cleansing manner. This continued through her college years, where she continued to hone her art form and talents. As a theatre and arts major at IUP (Indiana University of PA) Natalie starred in plays including The Vagina Monologues and Oya. While attending to both her studies and her craft, Natalie hosted her own two- hour radio show on the “the Rush” which aired on the WIUP station airways. She also appeared as an extra in “Hack” which filmed and aired in Philadelphia Pa. She also worked as a stage performer for “Conflict Resolution Theatre” a theatre group whose work was to teach young children how to deal with conflict in a positive manner.

NTG knew her calling was truly in music the moment she heard rapper/mc/entertainer TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR. After hearing 2pac’s music, she is said to have felt his struggle, message, and pain -- all the passion for the better of himself and others – he was a rapper with a real message. It was then that she realized and embraced the passion – I have something to say, something to share - a calling with a powerful message of struggle and survival – to succeed is to breathe. Natalie can often be heard to say “if I am able to touch at least half as many lives as 2pac did through his music , then I would have served my life’s purpose.”

Natalie wants people to relate to her words, feel her struggle, enjoy her success, as well as respect the courage it takes to bare your soul in your music. She desires her music to be inspirational to young girls interested in music. Her message “if you work hard enough for a goal you can achieve it without selling your sex or your soul…”

NTG, a refreshing new talent with a touch of “old soul” mixed with a new kind of swag -- real hip hop for 2012 AND BEYOND...
