Bio

This band came together as a complete unit in October of 2008 as the brainchild of E.J. Ford and Just One, who wanted to blend the elements of a live band with artists that had the range to cover the hip hop, soul, and r & b genres.
E.J. - "I got a phone call one late night from
Just One. He wanted me to help him put a
band together for one performance at a
sports bar in downtown Nashville. We
rehearsed at my church for 2 weeks before
the first performance, and it went off so well
that the club has been calling us back ever
since, even when there was a snow storm!
I already had a band performing with Justice,
and I started to think, 'what would it be like
to bring both of these artists together in one
band with both of their products and put their
music together?' Slowly but surely, after a
few performances and months of rehearsals,
N'Trigo was born."
Just One is the "urban lyricist," bringing experience not only from the music world but from film as well, with credits from the move The Last Castle with actors Robert Redford and James Gandolfini. At the beginning of the movie Just One performs a free style rap.

Justice is a sensational R & B singer, opening for such acts as Tyrese on the Alter Ego tour, and for the Ying Yang Twins. His album "Your Reflection" has climbed the independent charts in Japan all the way up to the top 10.

The ability to move seemlessly between these genres and mix songs that have not traditionally blended together has earned this band a standing performance at The Sports Page Bar and Grill, where there is a standing room only crowd every performance. The band recently recorded for a television show "Mike Check" which will be featured on public access channels across the southeast and on Youtube.

The band has been compared to The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, and live bands that have performed for Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, R & B artists Neo, Mario, & Usher.
