The fun of Twisted Sister and the reverence of Motorhead is only a sketch of this band's spectrum.
Nude Beach was formed in 2006 and began playing their first gigs in June. Guitarist/Vocalist Colin Cooke and Bassist/Vocalist Craig Kumrow started their friendship in Tulsa where they attended Union High School. The two started writing music together in 2002 while college roommates. While finding the correct drummer would be a long process the interval would prove to be essential. Drummer and friend from the past Brad Revard had just enrolled in the University. With the three together music was steadily created and improved. Nude Beach easily drew together their influences and fueled them with natural expression to form a high paced, energetic, riff heavy, rock n' roll sound.
Venues Nude Beach has played at include, The Blue Note, Club 114, Unit D, Soundpony, Mooch and Burn, Torchy's Two Bucks Saloon, Trust Me Too, Club 360, and The Hive.
Bands played with include many genres, and Nude Beach enjoys playing for a variety of audiences. The band recorded their first demo in January of 2007 with producer Stephen Egerton at Armstrong Studios.
While the subjects of most of Nude Beach's songs are entertaining, they take their music seriously. An emphasis on physical style and sound brand is trivial to each member.
Nude Beach considers themselves an emerging band with a growing fan base. They are always looking forward to meeting and hearing from fans. The group draws their provocative name from ability to let it hang out or let loose. A Nude Beach show should be a place you can go to simply have a good time, and in any form that you decide.
