Nuevo Cha

Nuevo Cha

Pure cuban son played by hand on traditional instuments in order to encourage the audience to drift into the caribbean state of mind.

We started in 1996 by the name of Quarteto Cha and the deep love to cuban music. To establish the band leads us to a cuban conga player Alberto Dominguez and the name of Quinteto Cha. With him we recorded our first CD Entre dos mundos in the basement of our house – that means that our latin bandsmen live in Europe to perform their music with the Europeans, and we tried it the other way round.
In 2004, after the release of saludo and being the opening act of Eliades Ochoa, we changed the frontline and our name in Nuevo Cha. With the very talented columbian singer/songwriter Andrea del Pilar we play our rocks off in order to bring the cuban dance mania to our audience. ¡Vamos a bailar y gozar!
