Number Nine got its start in the basement of the Old Town School of Folk Music performing with the OTS Beatles Ensemble. Taking our name from the infamous Beatles/Lennon song, we started off as strictly a Beatles cover band. Nowadays, we play mostly music inspired by the Beatles including our own compositions in the style of Alternative Rock, British Invasion, New Wave, Power Pop and Rockabilly.
Venues:
Number Nine plays a variety of venues including bars/clubs, college, festival, and private events. Depending on the venue, Number Nine plays anything from a set of all original music to a dance party full of Beatles classics and wedding favorites.
Beatles:
Number Nine is NOT a Beatles tribute band. We are an 8 piece band that plays are own renditions of Beatles songs that in some cases in includes female lead and backing vocals.
