"Number Seven rocks change"

Coming off the biggest election this country's ever seen, the word "change" has been an underlying theme. The music of newcomers Number Seven is appropriate for change in our lives as well as our nation.

Based in South Bend, Ind., the band has ties to the Rocket City. Number Seven is a force of musicians who were in pursuit of solo careers until they decided to combine their styles of hard rock and hip-hop to change the world.

Growing up in hard times, Number Seven members want their lives and their emotions to come out in their tunes. Whether they're dealing with relationships, peer pressure or broken homes, the band's lyrics speak the truth in love about a loving God who understands.

In some way, we are all connected to each other because of the dark places in our lives that make us human. It's often those circumstances that allow God to show up and show off in everyday miracles. The music of Number Seven helps us take inventory of miracles that are happening.

While the members reach out to us as music lovers, they also are reaching out to other artists and bands to give them a platform to express their music and faith. The band has a management company just up the road in Clarksville, Tenn. According to the band's Web site, http://numbersevenmusic.com, they look to find, develop and promote musical talent with a goal of providing music lovers with the best of inspirational, positive and Christian music.

Most bands work for years in the music industry before they start to make that kind of commitment and investment in others. Number Seven wants to reflect everyday life in their music and ministry. They want to shine a light so any fakes or phonies of the music biz or the world cannot hide. It's that passion that drives the band to this level of mentorship among their peers.

Number Seven's songs bring positive light to our lives. Tunes like "I'm Prayin'" and "Beat Goes On" illustrate their live-out-loud philosophy to "scream where you live."

We've heard about change from our new president-elect, but the music of Number Seven is a perfect reminder that the real change comes from each of us. What are we gonna do to help make change the circle we live in?...
