Nuncio

BandHip HopR&B

Listening and watching Nuncio perform is like seeing Kanye West & Lupe Fiasco collide into one being on stage. He has a knack for leaving the audience singing his hooks well into the next act. So if your weakness is jingles then you may want to stay far from this truly catchy individual.

Biography

Providence-based music artist and producer Nuncio got his start in the music industry back in 1999 in Cincinnati. Having his own record label, Upper Room Pros, he along with his one artist C-Short joined Forever In Christ Music. From 2000 until 2005 he was FIC Music's producer and vice-president along side being one of the 12 artist under the label. While under that label he's released 1 solo project and been part of 3 label compilations. In Cincinnati he was no stranger to the stage for he's been part of many concerts and events yearly, sometimes reaching over 100 shows in a year. Traveling the nation he's shared the stage with other artist ,of various genres, such as Lesun, Marvin Sapp, K-Drama, Adrianne Archie, Theory Hazit, among other national & local artist.

In the summer of 2005 he quit Forever In Christ Music and ventured off to Providence, Rhode Island in search of a new life without the music. After 4 months of a musical drought he found reggae/neo-soul artist Lady D.U.B.B. that got him right back into the saddle of music producing. Together they formed the high-energy duo Likwid Fyah in the late fall season of 2005. They immediately began working on their hit piece entitled "Urgency". Combining the sounds of reggae, hip-hop, spoken word, and rock 'n soul they have created a futuristic sound of soul music. In mid-winter they came across Antioch Alumni, a hip-hop group in New England, that got them into the studio recording their first project "Flood Lights". After 6 months of recording Likwid Fyah released it's 3 track EP "Get Lit" and after selling 700 copies in less than 45 days on the streets and clubs of Providence. Immediately after that they released the 10 track LP "Flood Lights" and reached selling their 1000th CD and continue to sell.

Nuncio strongly believes in the healing and educating powers of music and it shows in his choice of musical composition and lyrics in every song. But he doesn't stop there but wants his music to be about enjoying the pleasures of life such as love and dancing among the other basic recreational things. He wishes to leave his listeners in awe of life and God after hearing him speak. With a past and mind-set such as Nuncio it looks to be that he'll have a very bright future ahead of him.
