Bio

Nunnery is a hardcore band from Terrassa and Masnou (Catalonia, Spain) formed by Dani (vocals), Makuto & Ivan (guitar & vocals), Mario (bass & vocals) and Uri (drums). The band was born after Nunnery Nutty’s dissolution in the 90’s, after recording two independent albums before signing with the independent label Slide Chorus and recording Waiting for Replay (2001).

During 2003, the band changed the original formation with new members and played in several concerts and music halls across Spain and France during 2003-2004. In this year they signed up with the record label Lengua Armada, with whom they recorded the album Friends At Work in October 2005. The album was co-edited with TPZ Recordings. Friends At Work recieved excellent reviews from the musical press and was listed in 2005 at several “Best of the Year” lists in the best specialized publications.

In 2006 Nunnery strengthens and plays through all the country with one of the best direct concerts in Spain. The climax of these past two years comes after winning the 2nd price in the XVIII Villa de Bilbao Pop-rock Contest and the 1st price in the 5th Leioa’s Pop-rock Contest, both in the Metal Category, and playing in some festivals with bands like Enemy Alliance (ex – Satanic Surfers & Venerea), Cro-Mags, No Turning Back, Endstand, …

In 2007 Nunnery decides to enter the studio again with Santi García to record their new record. This new release called “Wall Of Clouds “ was edit the same year with the label Lengua Armada again and was elected by Rockzone magazine as the third best record of the year, and collected a lot of good reviews in other music zines.

During 2008 they played a lot of shows all across Spain, including the 15th Anniversary tour of the good well known spanish metal band heroes Hamlet as their support band, and the Festimad fest, sharing the stage with Lostprophets and Linkin Park.

In 2009 the band decides to continue composing and playing without rest across Spain, supporting bands like Hell is For Heroes, Hot Water Music o more recently playing in the Resurrection Fest 2010 in Viveiro (Spain), with Lag Wagon, Down, etc...
Nowadays they have all the material for their third record that prompt they will register.
