Bio

Eighteen year old Singer/Songwriter Nunu Sully discovered his love for music and his musical talents at the mere age of two. He sung the words to A whole New World and Somewhere Over the Rainbow even before he spoke complete sentences. Everyone who heard this little Puerto Rican boy sing with such an angelic voice and dance with such rhythm knew that he was going to be something big. Whether he was singing along to Disney’s Aladdin soundtrack at the age of two or dancing on his living room table to Britney Spears Hit Me Baby One More time at the age of seven, Sully was always aware of his love and passion for music. Through-out his childhood Sully sang and danced at numerous talent shows, and performed in multiple plays at school and summer camp. It was not until Sully made it into the Counseling through Music program in the seventh grade when he decided that he really wanted to make music for a living. Sully wrote and recorded all of his early work while in the Counseling through Music program. Getting into that program played a huge role in his career and changed his life. He learned how to collaborate with others and how to record in a studio. However, When Sully reached high school; he dropped out of the program to pursue his solo music career. He then started to write and record songs for his first demo EP Playing with Fire with his producer, mentor, and Uncle Gabriel Ramirez, and Cousin Michael Olavarria. Both of whom have recording studios in their own homes. Together, they were an amazing team and in the time span of three years (freshmen, sophomore, and junior years) Sully’s first demo EP was complete. Greatly influenced by pop icons Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, Sully has recorded four songs for his Demo Playing with Fire, which include Insanity, Playing with Fire, Runnin, and Forever Gone. All lyrics were written by Sully himself and recorded and produced by Gabriel Ramirez and Michael Olavaria for Freequency Productions. Sully, along with his manager (and mother) are in the process of putting together his press package to send to record labels. Sully is also currently touring the New York area to promote himself, expand his fan base, and generate reviews to include in his press package. The message that Sully is trying to get across to the world is that not only females in pop music can be sexy, and become sex symbols. Sully feels that the male pop artists who are out now like to play it very safe, and don’t really take risks. Sully is the type of artist who wants to take his dancing, music videos, and style to the next level. Sully wants to show the world that men can be sexy just as well as woman in pop music such as Madonna, and Britney Spears, and also that the music industry currently does not have many male Hispanic pop artists out right now. Everywhere you look in the industry the majority of artists that are out are either African American or Caucasian. Sully wants to let the world know that Hispanics are talented individuals as well. The Music industry is definitely Do for a new Hispanic Pop artist, and icon. And Sully is ready to take that title. With Sully’s musical talent, writing skills, determination, and drive you will see his name in lights. Sully is ready to take the music industry by storm, just wait and see. With God anything is possible.
