I am a versatile singer and love to explore all types of music. I have years of training and can belt so the gods can hear or sing softly into a lovers ear. I'm available for recording session, background vocals, weddings, dinners and caffees.

Biography

Nura Creitz has always seen the world as her home and music an outlet that transcends cultural expectation. Born in Luxembourg, Nura was raised by a Persian mother and an American father. In 1987, Nura began her formal music training at the Conservatory of Luxembourg, where she studied solfege, piano, guitar and classical voice and jazz voice. Nura was a recipient of the 1997 Achievement Scholarship for the Berklee College of Music, in Boston, Massachusetts, and graduated in August of 2001. Currently living in Los Angeles, Nura works with musicians of diverse musical styles such as rock, alternative rock, R’n’B, folk, acoustic, soul, jazz, blues and hip hop.

In 2008 Nura won 2nd place in a singing competition at the Topanga Fiddle and Banjo Festival. Also made it to the finals of the “Wicked Wannabe” competition hosted by Universal Studios City Walk.

Nura's Euro-American-Persian background, lend her vocals to be rich in harmony and quality. Her soulful sound is easy to listen to and her agreeable personality, professional attitude makes working with Nura very easy. She is available for recording sessions and lives shows.

Nura also finds great value and importance in music education. She teaches and supports a program called Music Together and gives private voice lessons through out the community. She offers tutoring in music theory and private voice lessons in a fun and approachable way.
