This powerhouse metal band trio from New Jersey is comprised of lead vocalist/guitarist Mike LaMastro, bassist Eric Mangual and drummer Bob Mangual. Friends for over 30 years, Nuse has translated their individual and collective life experiences through music. How did the name NUSE come about? Eric said, "We've 'hung' around with each other for so long that NOOSE just fit." Mike added, "...the naming process took so long, there were 5 members in the band at the time, there was 'NoUSE' in trying to make everyone agree on the name..." hence, Noose officially became NUSE in 1993.

The New Jersey power trio NUSE has been gigging up the east coast Hardcore/Metal scene for the last three plus decades. After a string of EPs, their debut album 'Hung Well' was introduced in 2002 and then re-released in June 05' under No Joke Records (L.A., CA). In 2008, NUSE released Forever Starts Today, which included their underground hit Beat To Death (over 100,000 plays worldwide).

In 2012, Nuse took their music to a national level with the release of All American Beat Down (May, 2012). During production, songs like "Breath & Fluid", "War Face", & "Free Tattoos" gained the attention of multi-platinum engineer Obie O'Brien (Bon Jovi). All American Beat Down was then delivered to Ryan Smith (AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Ozzy Osbourne, The Beatles, Lamb of God, Iron Maiden and many more) at Sterling Sound, NYC for mastering.

Upon it's released on May 18th 2012, All American Beat Down has received world-wide recognition through on-line affiliates such as Pandora Radio, iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Spotify, etc.

In summer/fall of 2012, All American Beat Down reached #5 in Kansas City, #8 in New York, #7 in Philadelphia, & #5 in Hawaii Markets.

NUSE will be releasing The Pain Collection, the long awaited follow up to AABD, in April of 2018! Ryan Smith of Sterling Sound NYC will once again head the mastering duties. Stay tuned for details!

NUSE has influences which include Metallica, Slayer, Biohazard, Clutch, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Sublime, The Doors, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Beatles.

Breath & Fluid

Written By: lyrics by M. LaMastro & L. Lash; Music by Nuse (c) 2012 Nuse

Life? Fair to middling
Brilliance goes ignored
I have got to see you more

Keep me at arm's length
I have not yet got the strength
So, I ask of your intent

Come and talk to me your love won't let me be
I'll be your love druid, in exchange for breath and fluid

Stares which see me deeply
The person tucked away so neatly
I need you to release me

Ambition pulls me inward
Veins, with blood, engorged
I'm afraid I just need more, more, more

Come and talk to me your love won't let me be
I'll be your love druid, in exchange for breath and fluid (repeat)

And now I feel miles away
A lost soul of never shine
My heart it bleeds more and more
Under your runes I'll find my way home

Guitar Solo

And now I feel miles away
A lost soul never shines
My heart it bleeds more and more
Under your runes I'll find my way home

Power I can't refuse
Lust, the opiate used
Play to you my favorite muse

Why so complicated
Disposition, now, frustrated
Please put your hands in motion
Come free your mind and put hands in motion
Free our minds, put hands in motion

Oh, Hey, Believe it, Hey Believe it, Hey Believe it
You blow my mind with your hands in motion

Free Tattoos

Written By: lyrics by M. LaMastro & L. Lash; Music by Nuse (c) 2012 Nuse

Bodies inked in black and blue, we’re all scarred for life yeah
Infectious hues, cut in our skin with a makeshift carving knife yeah

Hiding from the guards or we’ll get charged
Contaminate our environment
Toe to toe with the staff, chance a stint in confinement

yeah, yeah, gonna die doin' dead time
yeah, yeah, gonna die doin' dead time

Hide no more, walk the yard, flaunt our membership card
Aware of the fact to watch your back
Indebted to a convicted artist

yeah, yeah, gonna die doin' dead time
yeah, yeah, gonna die doin' dead time

Free tattoos illustrate our views, can’t escape these prison walls
Payin' our dues, track the screws, can’t wait to get it on

Live blood in live blood out
Live blood in live blood out

Free tattoos got nothing to lose reconnaissance under way

Live blood in live blood out
Live blood in live blood out

Free tattoos clock with no clues gonna dance on the blacktop
Got the green light, gotta do what’s right 187 a hard core member

Guitar Solo

Yeah, yeah, gonna die doin' dead time
Yeah, yeah, gonna die doin' dead time

All tipped up, convict down, tattooed corpse layin' on the ground
Gotta kick back, got pruno under wraps
Here’s to being back door paroled

Yeah, yeah, gonna die doin' dead time
Yeah, yeah, gonna die doin' dead time

War Face

Written By: lyrics by M. LaMastro; Music by Nuse (c) 2012

1492 that's when it started
The Christ Bearer left all the souls departed
Then again, again 'til French and Indian
Mr. Washington let me see your war face Yeah

My freedom so I go
My will makes everything so

Sniper fire, the power is seized
Unorthodox battle splits the trees
Ordinary citizens become militia men
Lexington & Concord let me see your war face Yeah

My freedom so I go
My will makes everything so
For freedom I must go
24:16, then everybody's happy yeah

Yes Mr. Franklin it was indeed a rising and not a setting sun
Let me ask you if you seen it today, what would you say?
From my perspective it looks the other way…
But we like it, like it, like it, like, like

Let me see your war face yeah!

My freedom so I go
My will makes everything so
For freedom I must go
24:16, then everybody's happy yeah

How much longer must we accommodate the wicked?
And yes Mr. Jones we have not yet begun to fight!
The righteous may falleth but will rise again
Evil shall be overthrown
and then we'll like it, like it, like it, like, like

Top Hat Man

Written By: Lyrics by M. LaMastro (c) 2018

Welcome to the subconscious
Let’s try and best explain
To the right please ignore the
Top Hat Man

Huh

Black trench coat shadow person
With a wide-brimmed hat
Sense dread and hopelessness
Blurred Faced Man

Chorus:
D to the demon to the O
For Oppression
He will feed
Off the terror
D to the demon to the O
For Oppression he shall feed

Solo

Repeat Chorus

Scamp! You can feel the evil
More black than night
Appear now, you lay paralyzed
Sound a Blood-curdled Scream

Cursed Misfortune
Wide-Brimmed Hat!
Time to die your life’s forsaken
Your last fight

Repeat Chorus

Akashic Record

Written By: M. LaMastro (c) 2018

I’ve trekked a billion miles
And slammed into the sea
Assemble Teotihuacan
Then create a bunch of me’s

Huh

Grab the microscope
And throw away the key
The perseverance of the Pleiades
Is weighing heavily on me

I beat the factions
Downloaded transactions
Akashic Record
Human Inventor

Solo

Time Again
To Begin

20 thousand, 40 thousand, 60 thousand

Time Again
To Begin
Time Again
To Begin

This could take a while
Mistakes I’ll flush with seas
The others of the upperclass
Try and take action from me

I beat the factions
Downloaded transactions
Akashic Record
Human Inventor

Time Again
To Begin

20 thousand, 40 thousand, 60 thousand
20 thousand, 40 thousand, 60 thousand
