Before the rapper there was an articulate young man by the name of Devaron Davis. Hailing from the “Show Me” state [Missouri] Heard his first rhyme from the infamous Bizz Markie (You Say He Just A Friend). Bizz definitely intrigued his interest for the art of hip-hop. The heavy bass, creative wordplay and catchy rhythms all played a dynamic part in the making of his lyrical abilities.Something about the rhythm of NyCe’s flow – the way he phrases intelligent yet comprehendible rhymes turns his voice into an instrument. NyCe (Devaron Davis) started out his diverse rhyming skills at the tender age of 13 years young. Influenced by a wise grandfather by the name Ozzie Lee Perry, NyCe grew up listening to artists such as Johnny Taylor, Anita Baker, BB King, and Al Green just to name a few. His taste for GOOD music doesn’t just lie in the realm of rap/hip-hop. His sophisticated flow and crafty wordplay stretch the boundaries of hip-hop. Bringing a fresh new sound from the middle of the map!He is not only a well rounded M.C., NyCe also produces his own tracks, and does a little somethin’ somethin’ behind the engineering board as well! Well dressed in musical attributes, NyCe plays the trumpet, drum set, and though he’s a rookie he plucks the steel strings of his Ibanez acoustic guitar.
