Since the January 2005 release of their impressive10-song CD Under My Skin, Cleveland, Ohio based rockers NYE have established themselves as a major creative force on the Northeast Ohio rock scene. Under my Skin was released worldwide by Toronto based Attack Records and soon gained airplay on close to 200 college radio stations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The disc’s title track "Under My Skin" along with select other cuts have been featured on MTV’s Hit Reality show "Made" Also in the works are pending contracts to license music from the band's up-coming CD "Surface" to various MTV/Viacom shows including, Cribs, Made and
My Sweet Sixteen, as well as a track in an up coming Tony Hawk DVD.

The four member rock unit NYE first started back in 2003, and the current line-up features founding member Dave England on vocals & guitar, Matt Austin on bass, Kevin Jackson on drums and Ryan Cornell on guitar. Dave England, who was raised in Cleveland, writes all of the band’s music & lyrics, and grew up in a musical household. His father was lead singer/guitarist for 1950’s New Jersey based music group The Santones, and his mother would play their records non-stop in the house. England’s grandfather was a big-band musician with Tommy Dorsey, and gave young Dave a guitar when he was just four years old. In later years, Dave went on to be influenced by bands like Poison, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Warrant and, especially, Dokken guitarist George Lynch.

Bassist Matt Austin, an Indianapolis native moved to Cleveland a year ago, where he joined NYE. He attended the University of Indiana for a short time before moving to Cleveland, where he soon entered The Ohio Center for Broadcasting to study audio & video editing. Matt was heavily influenced by 90’s alternative bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots, along with Pink Floyd and The Grateful Dead.

NYE drummer Kevin Jackson grew up in the small town of Champion, Ohio, where he got his first snare drum at age 12 and his first full drum set….a Gretsch 4-piece… at age 16. Being around his guitar playing brother-in-law and his band as a kid was inspiring. Kevin hooked up with a few top drum teachers, but was basically self-taught. His favorite drummers ranged from John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), Neil Peart (Rush) and Ryan Vikedal (Nickelback) to Scott Phillips (Creed) and Kenny Aronoff (John Mellancamp). Kevin is probably the most experienced member of NYE, having toured extensively from 2002 to 2004 with Ohio based rockers Cottonmouth, as well as with numerous bands throughout the 90’s, opening for national acts including Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special, The Doobie Brothers, and Foreigner.

Newest member of the group, power guitarist Ryan Cornell, was born in Canton, Ohio and grew up in nearby Canal Fulton, Ohio. While quite young, he was amazed listening to Chuck Berry and, as a teen, Ryan was drawn to classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin and AC/DC, along with Jimmy Hendrix and Nirvana. He went on to graduate from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with a degree in Journalism. His more recent rock favorites include Velvet Revolver, Jett and Audio Slave. Before joining NYE earlier this year, Ryan played in the band Sanctuary Down with well-known area musician Chad Szeliga.

NYE is currently in the studio in Toronto, Canada completing the final recording sessioins for their next full-length CD for Attack Records.The band is working with acclaimed engineer Jim Zolis and
multi-platinum producer Mark S. Berry (Billy Idol, U2, Duran, Duran, Toto) The CD will be released by Attack Records and distributed by Universal Music,
