"Premiere: LNDL Raps – “Crook’s Theme” Ft. Nyiam (Video)"

If Drake has you thinking Toronto is filled with love struck people guess again! Meet LNDL Raps, a young rapper/producer reppin’ Toronto and rhyming colder than Alaskan Blizzards. Today we present his ski mask way anthem entitled “Crooks Theme” featuring Nyiam off of his recent mixtape release L.N.D.L (Laugh Now Die Later). LNDL Raps packs an aura that represents for all of the street kids on the come-up, rappin’ for the cash and keepin’ it gutta. His buzz before this stems from his last mixtape “511” backed by Canadian brand Bad Habits and rumors that spread through twitter of the youngin’ being killed. He is live and well today, with all that in the past we can see him making an impact on this soft/fashion forward state of hip hop we’re in today. Enjoy! - Jungle Gym Magazine

"Nyiam"

Nyiam has upped the ante for emcees and producers in 2012. From his hardcore rap style to his effervescent approach to making music, this multi-talented rapper and composer is known for leaving heads bobbing in his wake. Recognized by peers for his powerful wordplay and hard-hitting production which utilizes both sampled and electronic sounds, Nyiam’s style is uniquely his own: a mélange of old-school basics with a definite contemporary appeal, blended with his own inspiration and unmistakable sense of humour.

The twenty-one year old Mississauga native began making beats and writing songs at the age of thirteen, drawing early influence from lyricists such as Big L and Eminem and producers like Dre, MadLib and The Neptunes. By the age of seventeen, Nyiam began recording early projects, quickly growing a dedicated fanbase locally before the release of his debut album, D.O.P.E., in December of 2010. Since his formal introduction to the Toronto music scene, Nyiam has shared the stage with the notoriously known Bizarre, Kuniva, and Swifty McVay of D12, as well as local emcees such as Adam Bomb, Mayhem Morearty, and Mindbender Supreme.

"New Album: BLEMFACE – Nyiam"

D.O.P.E. boys rejoice: Your re-up is here! NYIAM is back on the block with his sophomore release, BLEMFACE, the follow-up to last year’s debut album. The seven-track stash is packed full of original production and reaming at the seams with Nyiam’s signature punchlines and wordplay. Raw, ruthless, and unapologetic, Nyiam is going all out with no regard for censorship – that Parental Advisory sticker is not just for show (“It’s like that y’all, it’s on a track y’all, I talk smack n I’ll never take it back, y’all”). Fans of hardcore rap will appreciate this guy’s style. Waka Flocka fans might be SOL.

My pick: Yo Nyiam. This one was a CONNECTDADOT exclusive for a few months and one of our top requested songs. Bouncy, bass-heavy beat with lyrics that will leave you laughing. “Lil Kim couldn’t even swallow what’s comin’ out in my raps, I’m here to take the cake, get baked and leave you nothin’ but wax.” - WWW.CONNECTDADOT.COM

"New: Nyiam “Light Em’ Up”"

I know what you are thinking: “I thought Nyiam was an independent artist; how could he afford to hire someone to make this cover art?” It turns out, Nyiam also has graphic design skills because he made the cover art for “Light Em’ Up” himself. He also made the beat for “Light Em’ Up” himself. What a multi-talented Canadian, eh?

"New: Nyiam “Dirty Bong Water”"

Sauga city rapper Nyiam is preparing to release his new album, Stoners in mid-June. The album’s first single is “Dirty Bong Water,” which was produced by Nyiam himself. Nyiam’s voice and flow reminds me a little of Aesop Rock but obviously with a lot more weed references. My favorite simile on the track is “blowing more rings than LaBron.”

"#DutchysCorner | Nyiam – Stoners [Album]"

Mississauga, ON – I’d seen the name here and there but before taking in his new Stoners album I hadn’t really heard of 21-year-old producer/MC, Nyiam. I’m glad I finally gave him the look cause this album goes in! Right from the first track “Stoner Hop” you’re brought into Nyiam’s aggressive-but-relaxed punchline filled “reefer madness” …till there’s nothing left but some “Dirty Bong Water.” On top of that, Nyiam delivers Stoner with 8 self-produced bangers that are nothing short of impressive. 8-tracks might be short to some (for an album) but it’s enough to keep you wanting more. You might be just getting familiar with Nyiam but trust he’s no stranger to the mic or the “devil’s lettuce.” I think it’s safe to call him a connoisseur of the stuff; one quick listen to “Reefer Man” or “Light Em’ Up” gives you that impression at least.

When it comes to experience, Nyiam has shared the stage with the likes of D12, Obie trice, Adam Bomb, Mayhem Morearty and Mindbender Supreme. He began making beats and writing songs at the age of thirteen, drawing early influence from lyricists such as Big L and Eminem, and from producers like Dre, MadLib and The Neptunes. He dropped his debut album, D.O.P.E., in December of 2010. You can download Nyiam’s Blemface project on iTunes. Download Stoners for free after the jump. - www.HipHopCanada.Com
