Being a young Nigerian female growing up in Raleigh, North Carolina Nyja's inspiration was the surge of energy that ran through her when her young eyes twinkled at the sight of rappers battling. Not Knowing that one day she would become a Queen of freestyle battles she set out at the tender age of 11 and let all her emotions explode from her mouth. Having to work twice as hard to make it in the Naija scene being as though she was based in America . Nyja didn't let this stop her and started making music for the masses, which can be catogorized as Afro-Pop or Afro Hip-Hop. Her style is music to get people dancing, an American flavor laced with Naija influences.The rappers that had once given her the inspiration to reach her goal now regard her as one of them, Nyja is soon to become the Princess of the Naija rap game.
Nyja has worked with artists such as Naira, Blak Jesus, Zara, Whiteboy Pee, Falz, Phizzle, Chykay, Da Grin. and many others. As well as producers such as Sazzy, David Evans, Kid Konnect, DJ Flava, and The World Renowned Atomics (produced for the likes of Fabulous, Teyana Taylor, Trey Songz, etc.). Most importantly she has shared the stage with artists such as M.I., Eldee, Oladele, Sasha, Dekunle Fuji, Afrikan Kings and COUNTLESS others.
