Born in the heart of the 7th Ward of New Orleans, LA; Okla Jones (better known as Oak) provides a visual insight into life, love, and the world around us through introspective lyrics, with a southern flavor. A true hip-hop fanatic, Oak began his journey towards making his mark in rap history at the young age of 13 years old. While living life on both sides of the fence at one point or another, he has developed a very objective point of view musically, and has something that everyone can relate to. In the summer of 2007; his best friend and in-house producer Skinny Blak created and incorporated the now infamous Blak Ownd Entertainment, stationed in their hometown of New Orleans. Stay tuned for scores from Oak, along with Blak Ownd Ent., that will one day become the soundtrack to our lives... but for now, just listen.

From headlining various national independent tours, such as the Bump This Tour 2012 and The Summer of Sum Tour; to having his music and visuals showcased on sites such as TheTapeDeck, InnerCityTapes, NOLAHollywood and AlwayzTherro, this young and hungry MC as made it a goal to sit at the head of hip-hop's table in the near future. An enthusiast of the African American arts and culture, jazz has a heavy influence on his particular sound. Also, his background as a youth painter while growing up in the south has enabled him to paint portraits not only literally, but also in his music, a feat the takes most artists a lifetime to perfect.
