Obed

Band formed in the mid of 2002. In the beginning its style was mostly new metal/hardcore, but progressively the members of the band unified styles as they developed themselves making music. About 2003 Obed was totally formed so they could participate (previous qualification) in the Seres Vivientes Productions' Festival of bands. At the end of this festival, Obed was awarded as one of the best bands in its style . In the same year as Obed received a prize as Revelation Band, they continued playing and joining many concerts and performances. The following year, Obed was chosen and invitated to participate in the compilation CD "12 Imperios" (12 Empires) produced by Seres Vivientes Productions. This album was the releasing of "Destruction", chategorized as the best song in the album by the critics. Especifically this album was recorded in Bogota D.C. Columbia, and masterized in the well famous Abbey Road Studio in London, England. At this time Obed performed its first concert (12 Imperios' releasing in July 2003th) in front of 30.000 people. As consequence of it, later at this year, Obed was nominated to the categories Band of the Year, and Better song of the Year, winning both awards. At the end of 2003 and beginning of 2004, Obed developed its style to metal, as the band itself changed some of its members. In 2006 Obed collaborated in a couple of productions, Compilation 7 of A.O.G. Label -Jesse de la O- (http://www.myspace.com/jessedelao1), and Poetry of the dead -Belgium- ( http://www.myspace.com/poetryofthedeadrecord).
