Bio

Growing up in a small town in Minnesota, Oberg’s musical interests were peaked at a young age when getting his hands on a copy of Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic 2001”, and Daft Punk’s “Discovery” album no doubt sparked his craving for songs containing catchy synth’s and chunky low ends. A series of events in his late teens landed him on the floor of a Benny Benassi show at the former Spin Nightclub in 2007. Immersed into to a screaming crowd that was being controlled by a single person behind a set of turntables sparked a desire in him that continues to burn today; play music that makes people move.

His journey began in early 2010 working for SIMshows. After working tirelessly as an intern loading sound in and out of venues, flyering, and working shows, he begged his boss to let him borrow a pair of CDJ’s and a mixer. Soon after, his wish was granted. Spending 4+ hours a day practicing in his room and hunting for new tracks was how he spent the better part of a year before showcasing his newly earned talent opening for Cosmic Gate in 2011 at the former Epic Nightclub. Debuting as “Tommy Paige”, his eclectic set showed everyone this was more than just a hobby, and he was ready to take his gigs to the next level. Over the next three years he opened for hand fulls of global headliners such as Calvin Harris, Riva Starr, Above & Beyond, and Wolfgang Gartner to name a few; along with holding a residency at Rouge Nightclub for two years. Appearances also included sets at River’s Edge Music Festival, Summerset Music Festival, and as a headliner for Global Dance Festivals appearance in Minneapolis.

Rebranding a few years later to Oberg gave him the defining role we see now today. Adding music production to his repertoire over the past few years has been the edge needed to take things to the next level of his career. While slowly developing his signature sound, he’s held a residency at the largest nightclub in Minneapolis, The Exchange, and he found much success shining on stage during Super Bowl 52 with the Palms Las Vegas and TAO Group warming the crowd up for Afrojack, and closing the night after G-Eazy. His success continues as he expands his tour schedule nationally this summer.
