Ocie Ray Townsend aka O.C took the building blocks given to him in his hometown of Austin, TX, used them to create an entirely new musical monster in Prairie View, and has perfected them in a bid to smash the game. Citing influences such as Kanye West and Michael Jackson, Mr. O.C has produced for Gucci Mane, Baby Bash, Lil Flip, Project Pat of 3-6 Mafia, Jagged Edge, and Chingo Bling (amongst others) all within his 24 years. In those years O.C has quietly learned by watching, taking what he saw as others' shortcomings as artists and producers, and forging them into his own many creative strengths. Although taking the spotlight as an artist was not his first choice, it was a natural fit. "I felt like it was an opportunity - I had what you would call a Diddy or a Kanye moment. I mean, are you not gonna take it? I did it prove to myself that I could do it."
