“Faultless... Possibly what an apocalypse should sound like.” - Sandman Magazine
If you have already witnessed them live, then you will be familiar with the
ferocious energy thrown into a performance. Judging from their savage burst
of an EP, you can expect nothing less than a frantic storm of crashing
guitars at ear-splitting volume that would not be out of place at Rock City
on a Saturday night. - Leftlion
Thrashing forth with demented harmonic determination it is hard to discover
any faults that could possibly anchor this down. With a distorted wall of
harmonic rock ever present this local three-piece fail to disappoint and
constantly deliver a frantic flurry which will certainly bring the trio a
colossal fan base. As far as unsigned bands go these definitely are ones to
watch. Rating: 5/5 - Evening Post

Bio
Ocean Bottom Nightmare formed in Nottingham at the beginning of 2007 out of a
mutual desire to make quirky rock music in the vein of some of their favourite
bands: Mclusky, Reuben, Biffy Clyro and Refused, to name a few. Since then, they've
played dozens of gigs around the UK supporting the likes of Future Of The Left,
Baddies and The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster and have been selected to
appear on BBC Radios 6 Music Introducing show.
2nd March 2009 will see the release of their debut EP, We Are Serious: four tracks
of distorted bass, three-part harmonies and manic screaming. There's even some
glockenspiel in there.
The EP will be available on CD from www.phatphidelity.com, and digitally through
iTunes and other online music stores. Meanwhile, OBN are currently writing new
material and booking gigs, including a UK tour in early 2009.
Ocean Bottom Nightmare is:

Massively distorted bass, the occasional scream, Bad Religion-esque
group harmonies, repeating mantras and even the occasional Donnas style
high melodies make for a unique mix... a promising EP.
