Part-time songwriter Ocean Price aspires to work for publisher or big name artist. Blending R&B with the substance of God’s word, Ocean uses the parables of the gospel to deliver profound messages. Some have described Ocean's lyrical content as cryptic such the latest tune 7 x 70. “I like to write songs that make people ponder what it is I’m actually saying.”
The soulful influences of Minneapolis MN music scene have lent an unusual edge and particular creative styling to Ocean's music. The melodies are smooth but the content can be edgy and often beautiful. Keeping the rhythmic loops simple and often pairing up with other vocalists, Ocean's music offers an almost romantic but meaningful gospel quality.
