"'This band sums up the classic Aussie rock style'"

Fans of old school Powderfinger will be fond of Odessa's debut album Call Me. This band certainly sums up the classic Aussie rock style, and there is a definite punch to their songs. This record is full of Harmonies, and what it lacks in variation, it makes up for in guitar solos. The opening song and title of the album, "Call Me" is by far the catchiest and captivating tune, making for a promising album. "Powderspine" is one of the many tracks that echoes something close to an Audioslave sound, with Grant Byrnes voice bearing the same throaty and deep brogue as Chris Cornell, while managing to maintain a vocal boldness throughout. "Sunset Sucker" is a more upbeat track, with catchy riffs that could easily be dance to. - Bridgette Price - ROCKSTAR MAGAZINE

Bio

Fusing raw guitar rock with ass-shaking four on the floor, Odessa are taking Aussie rock to the next level. High energy attack and a feel for groove are trademarks of this original rock band from Tweed Heads. Drawing from a diverse range of old school influences such as Buffalo, Free, and Faces, Odessa create their own brand of tasty, unyielding rock wall of sound.
