The band Odyssey is part of the multimedia project PAN!. it is a 15 member strong steel orchestra.
The band comprises of legendary composer, arranger and pan player Ray Holman and ace international arranger Andy Narell, 6 talented Trinidad and Tobago pan players, Rafael Murillo and 6 players from Calypsociation France. The repertoire is arranged by Ray Holman and Andy Narell.
The show tells the story of the steeldrum, starting with the reenactment of the early track with original instruments (ping pong, biscuit drum) of the nineteen forties and fifties, to the main variations of the modern instrumentation with calypso, soca, jazz and classical music themes, including works of Ray and Andy and ending with the latest experimentation of the instruments, including the hang pan with the tracks mixing electro with a DJ set.
