Of Beaten Gold

Of Beaten Gold was originally formed as an acoustic project under the name Your Favorite Weapon by drummer/vocalist TJ Green and guitarist/vocalist Cameron Wright in 2011. After several member changes and the addition of guitarist Andrew Wasson and bassist/trumpeter Josh Covey, the band changed its name to All We Are, and eventually finally settled on the name Of Beaten Gold.

Of Beaten Gold draws influence from genres of music including, but not limited to pop-punk, emo, ska, and hardcore. The band have cited groups such as Saves the Day, the Wonder Years, and Four Year Strong as influences. The band write songs about their life experiences, from hanging out in an abandoned house with best friends to playing shows in a Rotary center in Altus, Oklahoma.

Of Beaten Gold will play wherever someone gives them a chance, and they will play hard. They bring a unique brand of energy to every show, and a unique perspective with a drummer being one of two main vocalists. Of Beaten Gold has played all over the states of Oklahoma and Arkansas. OBG has opened for national touring acts, including: Hawthorne Heights, Set It Off, the Classic Crime, Forever Came Calling, Freshmen 15, and No Tide. The band take pride in being drenched in sweat after each performance.

Of Beaten Gold plan on releasing their first EP "Hang Tight" by the end of 2012.
