Bio

Officer Trip is a three piece blues/rock/grunge band from Port Coquitlam,
BC. Their influences vary between them, which in turn presents a very unique,
heavy hitting sound; taking inspiration from classic bands such as Led Zepplin
and Black Flag, to more modern bands with Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Monster
Truck.

Taylor Vesper as the guitarist and lead vocalist brings the most
of the creative aspect to the band, having released two solo projects on top of
his current work with Officer Trip. With smooth melodic tones, being compared
to Dallas Green of Alexisonfire/ City and Colour, he can quickly switch to a
more aggressive sound that explores his hard-core and grunge influences.

Taylor Butters on drums brought the heavy hitting tenacity to
Officer Trip, much like Dave Grohl of Nirvana and Ben Thatcher of Royal Blood.
Bringing this sort of energy to Vesper in 2015, the collaboration between the
two began to lay the foundation for the band.

In 2016, they introduced their bassist Bryan Bridge, adding a
better rounded tone to the mix, allowing the now three-piece to begin writing
their debut album, "Straight Goods." They then turned to their good friend Jack
Thomas, who recorded the band’s debut album in the spring of 2017.

Most of the songs had been written by the two Taylors prior to
Bryan joining, including one song being pulled from Taylor Vesper’s solo work,
called W.H.E.R.E. , which has gone through many changes much to the kudos going
to Taylor Butters for bring a hard hitting sound to it.

"Straight Goods" was released for free listening
and download on bandcamp.com on May 21st 2017. As promotion for the
album, Officer Trip began hitting local venues across the lower mainland, having
played their first show at the Roxy Cabaret on July 5th. Their sound
has been well received, and they hope to play many more shows as they begin
work on new songs for a potential second album in 2018.

In September of 2018 Officer Trip released their second original EP titled "Motherland." The album contains 10 tracks and is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Bandcamp. In January of 2019 the band began working with Manager Ryan Steer and his company Wandering Bull Promotions. The team is currently gearing up for a Canadian summer tour and working on several new tracks soon to be released.
