Bio

The band raised the money to make their debut LP at Oasis’s private studio (Kasabian, The Coral & Paul Weller are amongst the only other Noel Gallagher approved acts to record there). In 2008 ‘The Six Grand Plot’introduced Officer Kicks. “No-nonsense killer tunes in a twelve-track bombardment” (Clash magazine). It’s punchy, hook filled guitar anthems earned great reviews, much appreciated support from high profile musical peers, fantastic supports,
festival slots, in-stores, radio, TV play and the seeds of an international fan base. The album also got them a deal with We Make Things Records so that they could make a follow up. This was recorded at Soho’s Dean Street studios with producer Alexander Wolfe. The remit was to blow everyone out of the water. Officer Kicks fuelled ambitious, passion into a 21st century soundtrack and they may well have succeeded with this vanguard of new century classic rock.At the end of 2009, Citywide Curfew started a buzz with the release of The Kraken as the first taster. Although under the radar, Officer Kicks started to get noticed from live reviews on the Juliette Lewis tour - “Ms Lewis should be proud to have such support” (London Tour Dates) and great feedback (including BBC radio play from Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson).Along with the second single, Automatic, The Kraken got Officer Kicks music onto Soccer AM TV. The tongue in cheek video for Automatic was an exclusive on Artrocker and music from Citywide Curfew not only features regularly on Sky Sports but is becoming a firm favourite on sports grounds and rock clubs alike. Their world cup rock was also featured on BBC TV a few times before the album was even released and Automatic has been getting play on Xfm and Total Rock Radio. Currently working on on new material and ideas, Officer Kicks have made some mighty live appearances already this year at venues like 93 Feet East, The Garage and The Scala. A classic live show not to miss. “Super spiky rock’n’roll with plenty of attitude” (Sunday Express)
