Bio

Coach was born Christopher Michael Oglesby on October 29th, 1980 in Loma Linda, CA, the son of the late Michael Andrew Oglesby and Diane Kay Oglesby. Raised by his father on the West Side of Rockford, IL from the early ages of 9 until his fathers untimely demise at the age of 14 left Coach feeling alone and abandoned. Coach found himself diving deeper and deeper into expressing his feelings through creative writings, poems, and raps. While attending Rockford East high School a strong foundation was being formed by seeing and hearing other children around him create music by beating on desks and performing raps to them. This would spark the necessary interest to take it to the next level and focus on the art of writing.
Christopher got his nickname while serving in the USMC for his uncanny ability to lead and bring out the best of those around him. Whether it is "Coaching" other artists on writing, pronunciation, wordplay, or stage presence, Coach has always pushed himself and others to higher levels. In 2002, Coach found himself leaving Rockford for a job and personal duties in Detroit Michigan. While residing in Michigan, Chicago influence met that Detroit swag. Coach has worked with the late Eric Breed, aka MC Breed, on his un-released album The Original Breed: Swag Heavy, as well as Bootlegof the Dayton Family from Flint, MI, Bub from the Bake Up Boys, C-Rudd, Gstar, VA, De$imo, and Jibril Ali.
Just as Coach was gaining ground in making a name for himself life changes brought him back to Rockford, IL where he is now a major focal point in the city as a Rapper, Songwriter, Record Producer, Engineer, Graphic Design Artist, Video Editor, and Music Composer/ Beat Maker.
