Bio

The Green Skeem is not just the name of a hip hop/electronic duo out of East Lansing, Michigan
it is also a plan. A plan, or scheme if you will, to always be working toward something to further
Danny Wiseman and Courtney Rodgers' musical career. The Green Skeem prides themselves on
working as hard as anyone in the industry, and not just an up and coming group like themselves.
They want to work harder than EVERYONE.
Courtney Rodgers (aka QTheBars) and Danny Wiseman (aka Daggler) started to seriously pursue
a career in the music industry two years ago. After growing up together as best friends, they
both caught the entertainment bug in their early years of high school. A few "low budget"
recordings, beat boxing, and free styling was about as far as it was ever taken in those days. Still,
the Green Skeem loved all genres of music, both of their favorites being classic rock. "Classic
rock was and still is a huge influence on us because it was all these real life experiences made
into a story. That’s what we try to do, write music that tells a story about our experiences, not
just talk about random things in every verse." -Courtney Rodgers
In the early years of college, the Green Skeem (at that time known as the ELroys) started
recording and releasing singles to friends. After several releases they decided to focus on a
project, which they titled "Michigan Lefts". Soon after that the Green Skeem began working an
ongoing project titled "Skeemin' On A Million" where they have been releasing songs periodically.
Recently most of the focus has been on their up and coming release titled "Old Souls" which is
set to release in March 2012 and is "our deepest, most professional project yet".
Wiseman and Rogers mix and master all of their own music from their home studio and Wiseman
also produces about 90% of the music. Over the summer Danny Wiseman completed his Pro
Tools certifications, and earned a certification from the Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Courtney Rodgers is also currently working on gaining his Pro Tools certifications.
As far as live performances go, the Green Skeem has been busy doing shows all over the state for
the past year and a half including, The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, The Savoy in Ypsilanti, 1515
Broadway in Detroit, Rubbles at Central Michigan University, The Loft, Small Planet, Club Xcel,
The Landshark, Mac's Bar, and numerous house parties and events in the Lansing area. In
addition, the Green Skeem took 2nd place in this years Hometown Rock Crown hosted by 97.5
Now FM, and performed in 97.5's Pink Tie Affair, a breast cancer benefit which they hold close to
them because Wiseman himself beat a 15% chance to survive cancer when he was just six years
old. They have also opened for national touring acts including Bad Boy recording artist Machine
Gun Kelly, Napalm and The Ready Set.
All in all, the Green Skeem have high hopes for themselves in the upcoming year. "We've put in a
ton of work up to this point in our careers, but in comparison to what we plan on doing, it's
nothing." Said Wiseman
