Mr. VSax

The new sax artist on the block, Mr. VSax blends the style of Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul and Afro-Pop into the sound of a traditional saxophone. The end result is a musical style that is not-existent in the music industry.

The founder of his band, VSax & The Crew (based in Houston, TX), Mr VSax has toured with Nigerian superstar Flavour N'Abania in the US in 2011, while his band VSax & The Crew was the backup band for Flavour.

The experience gained from the US tour, along with working with prominent Houston artists, has made Mr. VSax to take the music scene by storm with his savvy, sleek style; in a world where saxophonists usually play jazz/soul music with a suit/tie, Mr. VSax is known for taking a completely different approach by wearing causal clothing with his shades and trademark "VSax Music" hat.

Mr. VSax is influence by an influx of artist in the past and present. His main influences, however, are Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Najee, Teddy Riley, Brandy, Kenny G, Timbaland, Frank Ocean and Mike Phillips.

He was released his 1st LP, titled "UnExpected: The VSAX Project" in March, 2012 and it's currently on iTunes. Also, his rare Saxophone Mixtape #THEMVSAXCOVERS (them-vsax-covers) is also online for free download at http://vsaxmusic.com/themvsaxcovers. This mixtape covers tracks from Whitney Houston, Rihanna, Adele, Bruno Mars, SWV, DBanj and beyond.

Not only a sax artist, Mr. VSax is also a serious up-and-coming music producer who is currently rising up the ranks in the Houston scene when it comes to being the "go-to-guy" for artists to record an album at...in his VSax Studios.
