Reckless

Thanos Labropoulos, also known as Reckless, was born on February 12, 1988 in Brooklyn, New York, where he developed his love for music that has carried on to become the main focus in his life. His unique style showcases the bicultural influences in his music as a result of his upbringing in both the US and Greece, which he has been developing from a young age. His mastery of the piano, bass and drums coupled with his impressive singing and composition abilities were evident in his early success; his debut track was rated Number 1 in the Greek charts. Moreover, his amazing way of connecting with his fans ensures a vivacious atmosphere at every one of his performances.

Reckless started his career as a resident deejay at the young age of 15 in the world-renowned club “Venue” in Athens, Greece. Within the next few years, the demand for Reckless was rapidly increasing and he has already been seen playing in both Greece and Cyprus with some of the biggest names in the global industry, including Tiesto and Flo-Rida.

Apart from deejaying, Reckless has always felt the need to express himself through singing. After many high school talent shows and concerts, he decided to put his vocals to the test. In November 2008, Reckless teamed up with Playmen to create the song “Together Forever”, launching his career as an artist as well as a composer. The song was immediately signed with a major label in Greece and became the “Summer Anthem” of 2009, and was heard playing constantly on all major radio stations across the country. The single was also released on many international compilations, which created a bridge for the Greek dance music industry throughout Europe.

After the tremendous success of his debut song, Reckless released his first solo single “The End” a little over a year later, and subsequently signed a contract with Sony Music Entertainment. Within the first few weeks of its release, “The End” reached the number one spot in music charts across Greece and sustained its position for many many weeks thereafter. “The End” was also released in 17 other countries, including the United Kingdom, where it was charted in Music Week’s “Pop Chart Top 30” in August 2010.

With a high level of technique and incomparable creativity, Reckless truly knows how to work up the crowd using the formula of his set: the hottest dance tunes in a distinct blend with live performance and vocals.
