Bio

Official Response is a Rock/Reggae band from Sacramento, California heavily influenced by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, 311, and Rebelution. The band was started in 2010, and originally consisted of three high school friends. Bassist Connor Lyles, Drummer Branson Meyers, and Guitar/Vocalist Graham Richardson. The band played their first live performance at Vista Del Lago High School's Project Impact Open Mic, where the band met Anderz Mintz and added him to the lineup as their second Guitar/Vocalist. Soon after, the band recorded a three song EP at Meyers' house, and began to play shows at venues in their hometown, Ace of Spades, and The Boardwalk among others. They opened for bands such as Tomorrows Bad Seeds, Ballyhoo! and Arden Park Roots. As they began to build a following in Sacramento, they added horns to further expand their sound. Ramon Salmeron, Josh Velasco, and Daniel Ardoin joined the band on Trumpet, Saxophone, and Trombone respectively, and brought with them Ska influences from bands such as Reel Big Fish and Streetlight Manifesto. With the addition of these three members, Official Response began to headline their own shows, and started working on a full length album. A year and a half later, their debut album "No More Bad Days" is ready to release on iTunes on February 21st.
