Bio

When there is something you want, stand up and fight for it. If someone or something stands in your way, move it. Put it all on the line and achieve your dreams. Take that how you want to, but that's the message Of Reverie tries to convey. We will all go through situations that drag us to the darkest depths of personal hell but those stories of anger and negativity all have a positive side and there will always be a brighter day. That is the underlying message behind every song in Of Reverie's arsenal. In Of Reverie, both the aggressive and technical sides of metal core meets with the modern breakdown and sample driven atmosphere of Post-Hardcore and is emphasized by catchy, melodic clean vocals and powerful, engaging dirty vocals. Sifting through the comments on various social media bases you can find support leaping off the pages for this Canadian band ranging from a simple, "You guys are wicked" to the high praise of, "This is how post-hardcore should sound with the leads plus some sick r&b type parts". After an early set of lineup changes that could have shaken the confidence of the band this new Ottawa six-piece fought back and dug their heels into the dirt and is beginning a steady climb forward. Of Reverie's debut EP, "Dreamcatcher" will be out on May 2, 2013 and is set to be the beginning of something new, something the Canadian music scene will not be expecting.
