"Gignition - Railway Hotel 25/11/2012"

Speaking of such things, Oh White Mare swifty became my favorite of the night. Initial impressions upon seeing a keyboard on stage were thwarted as they produced a gritty sound, two singers-come guitarists taking turns on the lead and often doubling over each other adding a great range to the sound.
The bassline held a strong sense of propulsion throughout , and when the keyboard was used it became as percussive instrument over anything atmospheric.
Definitely a group to keep your sights on.

"Oh White Mare EP Review (June 22nd 2013)"

Fronted by Perth based poet, publisher and rock’n'roller, Jeremy Balius, Oh White Mare have just dropped their debut EP. This is music that will kick holes in your speakers; music driven by a reckless propulsion that if you open yourself, will prove irresistible. Few things make the hairs stand on my neck; even fewer make my nervous system shimmy. - Anotherlostshark.com

Bio

Oh White Mare formed in late 2011 in a Lebanese restaurant in Perth.

Guitarist/vocalist Ross Wood, bassist Craig Bradbury, drummer Sam Hair and guitarist/vocalist Jeremy Balius holed themselves up in Snowy Fleet’s attic for over a year, fine-tuning the deep garage and indie rock sound they’re becoming known for.

The first half of 2013 saw OWM play dive bars and clubs to positive reviews around Perth, and are now making the transition to opening for nationally-touring bands in the latter half of 2013.

OWM has received radio support from Triple J Unearthed Radio, FBi and Valley FM.

Influences include Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Dead Weather, Neutral Milk Hotel and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

Oh White Mare’s self-titled debut EP is coming soon.
