Oisín

Singer / songwriter whose style can be described as being in the Acoustic / Pop genre. Born in Ireland in 1988, Oisín comes from the small mining village of Clogh, eight kilometers north of Castlecomer in the county of Kilkenny.

Since embarking on his musical journey, Oisín has preformed with artists as diverse as the well known Irish Youth Choir “Aspiro” to the legendary Bobby McFerrin.

Oisín moved to Switzerland where he now lives and continues to find inspiration to develop his songwriting and singing craft.

Shortly after moving to Basel, he quickly came to the attention of a musicians and producers and was asked to write and perform on a recording that was to be released as a four track EP, however his distinguishable contribution was such that the producers released the recording as an eleven track including the remaining tracks from the EP picking list.

Whilst the recording enjoyed both chart success in Switzerland and daily radio rotation in territories including Switzerland, Germany, France and Italy, Oisín was determined to build on the experience and develop his craft to reflect the style of music that he wanted to pursue.

Oisín has written material which has been described as some of the “Best Heard” from an unsigned artist in recent years (Darragh Kettle, Former Head of Peer Music’s Irish Operation) and his aspirations are to write with other various well-known songwriters and to achieve worldwide acclaim as a performing artist.

Oisín has performed with, Bobby McFerrin, French singer/songwriter Camille and others and has received offers to write and record more work with established artists and producers.

In 2011 Oisín was approached to perform the qualifying entries in the Eurovision Competition for both Ireland and Switzerland.

Oisín is without doubt a true professional and wants to perform real music with real musicians and has been described by those he has worked with as been true to his music and having an exceptional work rate in rehearsal and studio and loves the stage.
