Ontario based band, OK SEX, is the collaborations of songwriters Racquel Hardy and Okee constructing an atmosphere of dark bassy tones and discordant melodies. With her sweet but sultry voice Racquel sings about earthly significance and introspective love affairs.
Ok sex was birthed when prolific composer, Okee, met Racquel within their hometown music scene, an area mainly influenced by folk music. Breaking out of the normal succession, they developed their own sound incorporating 808 drum samples, synthesizers and a guitar. Gathering what they could afford, they created a home studio to take a DIY approach. Their first single “Best Friend,” was written, recorded and released within 12 hours. Since, the band has released a 3 song EP, “TUNNELS” accompanied by a DIY music video generating notable success within a short period of time.
Currently they are in the process of creating a full-length album, developing their live show and expanding their fan base.
