Bio

“I said drugs the only thing we do the right way now...”, Okir raps, on the track “Overdoing” from his 2018 EP, Pity Party is the embodiment of the Detroit rapper’s music; best described as a concoction of careless consciousness.
OKiR started rapping after buying Tha Carter 3 and “36 Chambers” in 8th grade and has never looked back. In 2014 began to release a string of mixtapes online while building his cult-like underground following. In 2017 OKiR served a brief jail stint while still releasing three EPs, Free OKiR Pt. 1,2, & 3. After completing his sentence OKiR returned home to release his mixtape, Petty Stuff to much fanfare, even opening up for GZA of the Wu-Tang Clan at the El-Club in Detroit, MI.
Today, the 25 year-old MC and producer is the leader of the hip-hop collective “MPG” with fellow Detroit rappers and producers D-Rock the Felon, Breams, $avi. OKiR released his latest project "Huge Trash Raps" under Renegade Records expected to on May 29, 2019.
