Still working on that hot first release.

Ok to Drive started with a 6 song set that singer/songwriter Nick Baker wrote while his previous group ( Catalyst for Change ) started to go their separate ways. eventually in 2005 CFC called it quits after a five year run of breakneck, full force songs and shows. Nick had stripped away the distortion and the half-stacks down to the basics, himself and an acoustic.
Nick played bars, small venues, and open mic nights around his hometown of Cincinnati for a year until in April of 06 when he met a guitar instructor by the name of Shawn Steele at one of his gigs.
Shawn took a liking to Nick's style of songwriting and offered to sit in with him on a few gigs. After awhile they were playing four nights a week at various local Venues as a duo. At the end of every nights set they would always be asked before leaving the venue "are you guys OK to drive?" the name was inevitable.
Over the next two years they honed their craft and composed their catalog of songs. it became obvious they needed to expand their outfit, and began to search for other members. drummer Chris Cox was the first to respond to the ad posted, and the most qualified. like Baker, Chris too was finishing up with a band at its end. ( American Hardcore ) was a three year touring ordeal that Chris had just wiped his hands clean of when he found Baker and Steele. the three began rehearsing and recording right away in hopes a bassist would not be too far away.
In the winter of 08 Alex Fraiser showed up via the friend of a friend to attend an Ok to Drive set in the town of Lebanon, Oh. The Trio finished up and Fraiser introduced himself. He was a sound engineer for Bootsy Collins and an aspiring bassist/recording artist. the three liked Alex from the start and within a month had begun rehearsing with Fraiser on Bass.
Since then the Group has been in studio and on stage getting up close and personal with fans and their material. writing, rehearsing, performing, and trying to find time to sleep. they hope to see you soon in your town.
