Bio

Originally formed in '94, Old Boy Network began as a couple of high school friends sharing the same musical tastes and dreams. Adding Jimi Watson to the mix, who they attended college with, and who had already obtained some local scene cred (Lead Vocals/Guitar for a local band called 'Fevertrees' original guitarist for 311(co-writing Fuck The Bullshit)-- Old Boy Network was complete. Their writing produced 2 albums in the first 4 years of existence. First release - "Done Deal"('95) was of semi-demo quality containing the beginnings of something very special. Over the next 2 years OBN gained consistent momentum building their writing and fan base. With that direction..they decided to raise the bar and record at one of the finest studios in the Midwest(Red House Recordings, Lawrence, KS). With the help of re-known engineer Ed Rose, they released "Loco Motives"('97). Having its CD release party at Omaha's legendary Sokol Auditorium with openers Secret Skin and Grasshopper Takeover, they became one of Omaha's top drawing and well-known local bands. Having opened for some of today's biggest rock acts such as: Blink 182, Primus, Incubus and Slipknot, Old Boy Network had done all they could to establish themselves in Omaha's ever changing music scene. In late '98 they then decided that in the best interest of the band - a much deserved break was needed. With other members still having the motivation to pursue musical interests, local band "Mandown" was formed, which contained members of both OBN and local legends "Blue Moon Ghetto." FAST FORWARD to 2005, Old Boy Network regroups with 3 out of the 4 original members, with the addition of tremendous drumming talent, Scott Evans. A new, fresh and experienced focus for the band was born as they embarked back onto Omaha's music scene
