Bio
Old Fashioned Beadown is ’ANGRY MUSIC FOR ANGRY PEOPLE’. United by the same vision of brining a new form of intensity to the life of metal, vocalist Joey Naugler, bassist Bob Pickerelli, drummer Russ Rodriguez, and lead guitarist Woodzy have come together to create assaulting compositions for the enraged.
Since the bands conception in Orlando Florida in 1999, Old Fashioned Beatdown have independently written, recorded, and toured without any label support putting out records to ep’s with distribution through Hot Topic, CD Warehouse, FYE, underground music shops, and digital music stores.
Also, through constant performing, Internet Radio, College radio, FM radio, Pirate radio, TV performances, and heavily promoted shows, OFB have built a solid dedicated fan base creating a driven movement that the band describes as the FIST UNION.
After winning band of the year and Woodzy as Guitarist of the 2003 Orlando Metal Awards OFB headed west to Los Angeles. In this time OFB has landed Best Hard Rock band 2006 and Best Live Metal Performance 2007 at the Rockcity Music Awards.
Gaining the respect of their peers, OFB have also supported shows with bands such as Superjoint Ritual, 5 Finger Death Punch, Otep, Daath, Hemlock, Goatwhore, High on Fire, Sworn Enemy, E-Town Concrete, Slaves on Dope, Malevolent Creation, December, Skin Lab, Re-Ignition, Invitro, and many others while headlining their own shows at the Key Club, Whisky Agogo, and The Roxy in LA.
OFB have had their sound compared to bands such as Pantera and Hatebreed. As the band is getting ready to release a new EP with a number of shows to follow, the band is ready to take their vision to the next level from the street to the world.
