We plan to record, promote and launch a CD album titled “Black Fulla Boogie” which will include 10 originals. Our mates Eddy Ware, Iain Coyne, Warren Masters, Candice Dempsey will join in to beat up the boogie!!

Together as OLD FLAMES, Mechelle and Sam have written and composed many songs of soul / country slow rock genre, with a focused appreciation on the lives of Indigenous Australians. Our songs contain stories, issues and meaningful statements about Indigenous struggles, humour, language, the stolen generation, domestic violence and more.
What can you expect to hear? I'm sure every band says this ... but yes we have our own sound. Mechelle's bluesy deep vocals add character to our slower and rockier songs.
One of our songs “Black Man Blues” was entered in the WAM Song of the Year 2008.
Old Flames are down to earth and Mechelle always gets the crowd onto the dance floor as she has the knack of interacting with her audience in what she describes as being just "Straight Out and Me"!
Old Flames acts include Private Functions, ABMUSIC, Govt Depts, Back to Badjalling, Keela Dreaming Festival, Chocolate Martini and Corroboree.
