OC Rocks the House during the College National Showcase, Indianapolis IN

Hoping to expand their fan base across the U.S., Olive Carpet hit the stage in front of hundreds of college students and did just that. Signing over 60 college tour dates in one weekend and traveling to some of the best cities in the United States, this band is ready to rock their fans. OC begins their first college tour featuring their hit album; Do you know who I am next month.
Olive Carpet performed for several hundred colleges from all over the United States during the National Showcase. Daniel, Randy, Paul, Eric and Nick make-up an unique rock band that perform original songs and cover hits for the college crowds.
OC only had 20-minuetes to win the crowd and started off with a bang as confetti cannons exploded into the lights and they made the stage shine. Starting off with their original hard-driving, funkadelic song “PUSHIN”, the crowd started waving their fan towels like crazy. Next they surprised the crowd with a piece from “In the End, Lincoln Park” and launched into a super-energized version of “Sweet Emotion, Aerosmith”. “Hash Pipe, Weezer” was next and then their own original, “Dances”. It’s not over yet, they went onto a funky version of “Color me Blue” and continued with a cover melody featuring “Sublime, Love is what I Got”, “Guns N Roses, Paradise City”, and “Talkin Head, Burning down the house”. As the crowd ran towards the front, OC played their featured single “Do you know who I am” and ended with a crowd pleasing hit, “You spin me round”. Olive Carpet made an excellent performance. After their smashing debut, the band was mobbed at their booth in the marketplace by students hoping to get autographs, pictures and t-shirts signed. Let’s just say Olive Carpet did what they came to do.
Fighting to impress over 1000 delegates from 160 colleges nation-wide and competing with 150 different talent agencies each representing more than one acts, JDA Records/Olive Carpet’s booth was one of the most active agencies in the co-op buying circuit.

OC began playing together about two years ago in Orlando, FL. They hit the big clubs such as; Hard Rock Live, House of Blues, Downtown Social, Slingapores, and tons of festivals from Tallahassee to Tampa.
After pulling their pennies together, OC made it to Nashville to record their first album with legend producer, Micheal Wagener. Next thing you know, they're selling hundreds of records a show, building their fan base and having a great time.
More good news:
OC won Battle of the Bands at Walt Disney's Pleasure Island in July 2002. This will guarentee them additional shows at P.I. and tons of new fans.
OC showcased at the EAT'M conference on May 31, 2002 in crazy LAS VEGAS.
