Olivia Somerlyn

Rising star Olivia Somerlyn has been building a buzz with her unique pop sound. The ultra-talented singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist has demonstrated musical skills well beyond her 19 years--and her dedicated fan base of “Somerlovers” has been growing by leaps and bounds with every passing month.

She was recently named the TeenNick “Fresh Artist of the Month” (May 2013) on TeenNick Top 10. Olivia recently wrapped up her massive “Summer Break” tour with Nickelodeon superstars Big Time Rush and Victoria Justice. Following the tour, Olivia joined the Jonas Brothers for multiple concerts throughout California.

Recently, Olivia debuted her brand new single “Better With You,” which has been met by overwhelming praise as she performs nightly to packed houses. Her full EP is soon to be released.

With a wealth of videos posted to her own YouTube channel, the San Francisco native is also highly active on Twitter and other social networks, engaging regularly with her fans worldwide. While on the road, several recent tweets by Olivia quickly became worldwide trending topics. Extra TV.com featured her “Better with You” music video and others including Girls’ Life Magazine, Z100, MSN.com, and more have taken notice as well.

The website Musiqtone featured Olivia’s song "Before It Began” in its music video countdown, receiving two million fan votes to make it the #1 video out of more than 60 entries and topping songs by Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, and Maroon 5 with Christina Aguilera. Meanwhile, the music video for “I’m Just Fine” was prominently featured on the homepages of Myspace and Myspace Music, as well as AOL Music and its teen blog JSYK., while top online music streaming outlet Grooveshark dedicated its homepage to Olivia and her music for an entire month.

Somerlyn is also committed to her philanthropic pursuits, spending much of her free time involved with charities including the UN Foundation; Girl Up, an organization that unites girls to change the world; and PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support), which helps owners keep and care for their pets while preserving the importance of the animal-human connection. In addition, Somerlyn also shares with fans her passions for skiing, snowboarding, tennis, horseback riding, and reading.
