Olusola Ramsey’s Bio

Born in Washington DC, Olusola Ramsey fell in love with music at a very young age. He began his musical education at the age of 9 when he first began taking drum lessons, playing in church, and writing his own songs. The foundation of musical talent that is engrained in Olusola's DNA has created many opportunities for Olusola to display is talents on a national and international stage. In 2005 he went on his first national tour with R&B recording group Surface, where he played drums and sang background vocals. In 2007 Olusola worked with 9th Wonder and played the bass guitar for the soundtrack of the second season of the TV show The Boondocks. In 2008 Olusola earned his BS in Broadcast Journalism from Bowie State University. From there, in order to maintain the legacy of his grandfather and father who were and are both guitar players, Olusola started learning guitar. With much hard work and dedication, he was given his second national tour opportunity in 2011 playing guitar and singing background vocals with one of D.C.'s most popular bands Mambo Sauce. Olusola continued growing musically and working in studios with nationally know producers. In 2014 Olusola teamed up with Tone P. He played and wrote the guitar parts for the MMG Self Made Volume 2 mixtape for the track entitled Black Grammys which featured Rick Ross, Meek Mill, and J. Cole just to name a few. Olusola's participation in many respectable songs got him in the studio with The Game in 2016. Olusola co-produced 4songs on The Game's 1992 album, and is featured on guitar on the track titled Baby You, which features Jason Derulo on vocals on the same album. Also in 2016, after working with the Game, he was invited to accompany him the 1992 national tour. in 2017 Olusola toured the nation as the lead guitarist for the Stage play “Mama’s Boy” where he accompanied Johnny Gill, Shirley Murdock, Dawn Robinson, Anthony Brown  G “silk” Jenkins, Thomas “Nephew Tommy” Miles, Jackée Harry, and Robin Givens. In 2018 Olusola was invited to be the lead guitarist for the R&B soul artist Ginuwine and performed at the Soul – R&B Safari in Kampala Uganda.

Olusola currently tours with Ginuwine. He also currently Tours with one of the top corporate Bands in the nation, “the Jump Street Band” out of Washington, D.C. where he captivates and inspires audiences all over the country.
