"Stereo Stickman"

Hip Hop has long since been in need of a little re-working, some creative reinvention – yet not at the cost of clever bars or intention (as has been the case in many contemporary offerings). Enter Oluse, an artist who couldn’t care less what the genre expects musically, but who rolls with the punches in his own creatively free and surprisingly captivating manner.

This latest release is all of this. It’s hip hop – for sure – the beat and the flow outline the best parts of the genre. But, from the distortion and intensity of the first few seconds, you know you’re in for a ride unlike much else around. That expressive artistry continues throughout, a striking and unsettling yet strangely likable beat backs up a versatile and consistently evolving performance and lyrical outpouring.

Oluse makes certain to leave his mark, with quiet confidence and expressive phrasing. A single listen leaves the whole thing calling out to you for a re-play. A second visit lets the intricacies and reflections of the lyricism, the clever word play, all connect on an impressive level. It will be interesting to hear where else the music takes him throughout his latest EP Thorium. A refreshing display of intentional and smart modern rap. - Rebbecca Cullen

"Underground HipHp"

New artist from Los Angeles, CA Oluse gives us a new album “Thorium” for all of us to vibe to. The picture was painted from the very beginning with Age of The Universe which presents a nostalgic boom bap real Hip Hop track telling everyone they can conquer the world! Everyone has their own journey to success, but the key is defining what success is to you. His style has a great combination of deep consciousness, hardcore and alternative Hip Hop all in one! - Senior Publisher at UGHH

Oluse deeply paints conscious rap rhymes that are heavily anchored by distorted synths and accompanies them with sharp and edgy vocals.

The Nigerian-American rapper based in Los Angeles, CA has a tendency to pulverize his words into short staccato statements to make the song feel tighter and more personal.

His single “Boiling Point 4788c” finds the rapper grappling with real-world traumas, that haunt like the specter of death at every turn. The rapper is impressionistic and emotionally charged, the result of addictively refining his style and baring more of his thoughts than expected.

“Boiling Point 4788c” sounds like the work of a perfectionist giving shape to his more radical ideas. The artist proudly makes this track his own and he’s not worried whether it has a traditional hip-hop arc to it or that it sounds like a splashy record meant for radio.

The song sees the rapper serving more as a guiding force against the perils that prevail the face of the earth and becomes more like a third-person experiencing the events as they occur. And on select moments, he spends a considerable amount of energy hoping to find meaning and satisfaction, even if that means a future without him in order to save the world and himself.

Part of his nine-track EP Thorium, the song finds Oluse leading to a path of self-discovery. He lives his truth and finds peace with it. Accompanied by stunning visuals “Boiling Point 4788c” aims to propel the audience forward emotionally but also mentally. - Xttrawave
